GEAR UP FOR SUMMER!

Recital was awesome, and our competition season is over, but training never is!!!  Summer is a week away and without school and homework taking up hours of our day, we can dance, dance, DANCE!   Enjoy the sun and should get your vitamin D, but don’t take off for too long, it’s hard on the body even after one week.  Keep the momentum going and your body “well oiled” – ha.  With little to no academics these three months, our bodies can focus even more and make exciting progress (I always had my major “dance growth spurt” in the summers).

We are excited to see many of you are gearing up for our intensives, small group trainings, audition month classes, and more.  Don’t miss out on our amazing guest teachers for our PDC Convention in 2 days!  Also, if you haven’t signed up yet for the Ballet Intensive, July 8-12, there are still a few spots left.  This year we look at the summer as a continuation of the year, not a separate time, while still providing a different approach to our ballet classes to keep things fresh for our dancers.  We will begin exploring fluid movement more, as ballet is not just about technique, but is an art form.  This means more center work that entail “mini dances” versus “exercises” to be executed.  The Ballet team is excited to begin this transition!

We have some wonderful new students joining us for Pointe Preparation this summer.  If your dancer is considering Pointe work, and even if SHE IS NOT, we are opening up the class for anyone who wants to strengthen their feet, ankles, and pelvis more.  There is still time to sign up for our 10 classes. Classes begin June 10th and are Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm:

June 10, 12, 17, 19

July 15, 17, 22, 24

August 5, 7
